I just saw that you haven’t given it yet. In all honestly, you should wait until next year to do a “fathers day” gift. It’s too soon. You might freak him out. I’m only going off what you’ve said. “He’s not ready.” Your gift essentially says “you said you aren’t ready but I’m ignoring that and making you celebrate anyway.” Just something to think about. Respect what he’s told you.

@cams he already knows I made it and that I'm going to give it to him Sat. I had asked him if he wanted to celebrate the day and he said not this year so I asked him if I could make him a gift and just not call it a father's day gift and he said that was fine. I made it with my daughter and told him this and he's excited for it. He cares about us very much and enjoys being a family so that's why I picked something simple.
