Loved hearing our little boys HB today at my midwife app today💙. She told me off for using my Doppler at home though because apparently it takes about 3years to learn how to use one properly. I’m still going to use it tho lol🤫. She wasn’t happy that I haven’t been referred to an obstetrician though so has said she will chase it up as I have an app with a cardiologist soon but should see my ob first.... xx

Here you don’t get referred to an OB till 35 weeks unless your high risk. Hopefully they find you an OB soon!

Midwives are getting dopplers band hun because they cause unnecessary stress and can make you think you’ve found baby’s heartbeat but actually have your own xx

@beakymcspence, I am classed as high risk because I had open heart surgery when I was 2 due to atrial septum defect and pulmonary stenosis so she couldn’t understand why I had my app for cardiologist before my OB so hopefully she can sort it for me xx
@courtniek98x, yeah she said that they were trying to ban them cause all they do is cause stress although when she was doing it today she kept saying do u know what this noise is and was surprised when I was like yep that’s the placenta, that’s the cord, that’s my HB and then finally she said and what’s this I’m like my sons HB lol. But tbh I don’t use it religiously just every so often xx
