Is anyone a high risk pregnancy?
What should I expect from dr visits, everyday life and deliver?
@kalidream, non stress tests? I have never had one of those done. What is it for and how is it done? I am honestly praying Baby come early but not too early.
@mommyoftwoangels, you can probably expect to go to appointments either weekly or bi weekly. Most likely more ultrasounds/monitoring, tons of blood work, and maybe even non stress tests. Depending on how things go your OB might even deliver you early (37 weeks).
@selandriac, oh. I hope you get what you want. I know they are the worse. I am in pain all day long! My boyfriend wakes me up to see if I’m ok because I am complaining in my sleep how bad they are.
@mommyoftwoangels, for pregnancy the levels are different for my doctor “resting” 60-90 after meals no higher than 120 Nd nothing helps with the pain but when I go today To my appointment I’m going to ask them to induce me at 38 cuz these pain is horrible especially when Braxton Hicks come
@selandriac, wow how high is your sugar? My dad is on insulin and is levels at in the 400-500s. It sounds like nerve pain. I am the same way and they say a belly belt would help, prenatal massage, stretching, moving around (it doesn’t), hot and cold packs.
Because when checking my blood sugar even tho I eat right it still kinda high during night time Nd waking up Nd yes I have to keep my legs elevated all the time cuz the pain hurts Nd it’s hurts a lot when I walk but if I lay down it takes awhile to get up due to having to find the “right “ way I’m 36 weeks now tho
@selandriac, why insulin? Does the pain go down your legs? Is it worse when you walk or move
@mommyoftwoangels, I just have the worst back pain idk if it’s because he dropped early or cuz he is gaining a lot of weight Nd I have to be on insulin
@mommyoftwoangels, yes they are I love them even tho this pregnancy is way different it’s more painful for me idk why
@selandriac, I’m so sorry. It’s great that they are taking great care of you
Yes I’m high risk due to last baby being born at 32 weeks and she passed away Nd I also have the gestational diabetes I go every week 2 times a week to have a ultrasound Nd dr visit
@kalidream, blood clot in the lung, anemic, obese. Even though I wasn’t considered high risk with the others.
@momtwo4, that’s awesome! I’m so glad he is doing so well. Are you dilating?
@mommyoftwoangels, well why are you considered high risk.. the reason could possibly affect everything else
I've just had more ultrasounds . and they started checking my cervix also plus I'm on the progesterone shot for pre term labor .
Oh yes he is a very very smart 15 month old. And man he is strong and the light in my eyes
@kalidream, What should I expect from dr visits, everyday life and deliver?
@mommyoftwoangels, so a no. Stress test is basically when they monitor the baby to see if they are under any sort of distress.. with mine they monitored baby for an hour on fetal monitor and did an ultrasound to check baby’s movements and fluid. I started having mine around 22 weeks with my last pregnancy. It varies widely though. I was going into preterm labor and dilating at 20 weeks so I was monitored closely
