Question for breastfeeding moms!!! Did any of you give your babies a pacifier at the hospital?! And…

I tried giving her a paci and she never wanted it 🙄 I wanted her too so it would be easy to put her to sleep but then again I like it since I don’t have to fight with her when it’s time to stop using it.

For the newborn pictures at the hospital it was the only way to get the pictures done and I gave it to her. She loved it and wasn’t confused at all, I’ve had no problems bf.

My first two didnt want a paci, this babygirl takes it and never confused at all she is a breastfeeding monster lol she was born June 1st and has not once got confused. Oh course she feeds alot so most the time the paci is to calm her while changing her in waiting to feed lol

My son has had a pacifier since he was born. And they gave him his first pacifier! 😊 I say give it to him.

Hmmm, I've been debating giving my baby a paci because he's constantly rooting or sucking his arm or fingers. They used a bottle nipple twice in the hospital to give him vitamin d and that didn't cause any confusion. I'm more worried that I won't know when to give him milk versus a paci since I can't see how much milk he's taking in. I have to assume that he's actually hungry when he's rooting or ducking. Why am I writing all these novelas under your post? Lol

@nellybamba, 😂😂😂😂😂 it’s okay! That was funny! Lol And yea I understand. It is more complicated when you can’t see how much milk he’s actually drinking. With my first I fed him every 2-3 . So after every feeding which lasted for about 30-40 mins. I’d just give him a paci. Some signs are different tho. Sometimes they suck just to suck. But if he’s like sticking his tongue out. Sucking his hands. He’s hungry.

I did with my first and never had any issues. That was almost 5 years ago
