@cmcleod1987, yeah, usually the flights he goes on are only about two hours so I can get away with changing him before and after (unless he poops) but on a 6hr flight I couldn't do that. And the changing table in there was a joke. I'd rather change him on the seat 🤦♀️
It might be a good idea to take him into the bathroom with you a few times before you have to change him so it's not a big (itty bitty) new scary room.
I took him on a 6hr flight when he was 6m! The sound of the engine did put him to sleep for a while, and a train might do the same.
Toys, music, books, get up and walk often, lots of food (Formula, whatever), a favorite blanket/toy.
For you, snacks, booze if you wish, stay hydrated, try to relax when you can, and also try not to have any expectations. Babies LOVE to throw us off our game, and if you don't let cries, other passengers, or a poopy diaper in a tiny bathroom get to you, it'll be a better trip.
Do you have any control over what time of day you'll travel? For example, could you start your trip around kiddo's bedtime so he sleeps for a good portion of it?
