I just got out of my 28 week appointment, and my doctor still hasn’t measured my belly. Is this normal? I thought since I was in my third trimester she would measure me by now. I have no idea how much he weighs or anything.

@amberspringer, @ashleycorinaa, right? That’s what I thought. I’ve never gotten measured once. She rushed me in and out of the appointment in two minutes! I barely had time to ask her questions.

Docs usually begin measuring at 20 weeks so yes its weird that your doc doesn't

@babybump21, I don’t think every Dr measures with my daughter I was never measured but with my son I was.

You can measure yourself as well
Find the top of your pubic bone and the top of your uterus (typically inches above belly button) you should feel where the uterus stops (it’s like the top of a balloon in there) and you should be on spot or ahead of whatever week pregnant you are.

My dr doesn’t start measuring until 30 weeks. Maybe they will next time. If not ask to be done.
