So last night Isabelle choked on a fruit loop when she decided to lean her head back while eating (despite us telling her not to every five seconds). David had to give her the baby heimlich, which scared the crap out of her.🤦🏼♀️ Anyway, this morning when I dropped her off I noticed she had a ton of tiny red dots on her eyelids and under her eyes as well. After googling, it looks like petechia, which is apparently like a bunch of tiny popped vessels from straining too hard. Has this ever happened to anyone else? How long does it take to go away?
My first thought was that she may have had some kind of horrible disease lmao. Also, never google image search “petechia around eye” unless you want your day ruined.

It should last a few days. It's like when a woman pushes hard during labor. Keep a watch and call her Dr in a few days if it is still there

This happens all the time. I got petechia last time I was pregnant from throwing up so forcefully. Since it’s just small burst blood vessels it will take the same amount of time that any bruise takes to go away. If it’s not gone in a week or starts to spread then you might want to consider taking her in, as it can indicate a blood disorder. It seems directly related to her choking event though.

That's to be expected with someone choking, it can be caused by straining as the ladies said above. It'll go away.
