I feel this way about Dominican food! ... I miss my Dominican friends in NYC 🙈

Its amazing how different cultures make food so differently. I love real puerto rican food, greek food, and brazilian food. Soooo good! I have never tried Haitian food which is weird because 2 of my best friends are Haitian, my step mom is too lol

If you haven’t tried it yet ask her to make the “black rice”. With shrimp if you’re not allergic. 👌

@verguinia, it is good! Definitely missing out. Tell her to make you a plate and you can go get it from her when she cooks.

@sky105 she lives like very far 😢but I asked a friend from church who is,from Haiti to cook for me and she said ok yay she wants to come to my house I love her now !!!!

@verguinia, lol that means she’s going to town on that food and make a meal. The food is time consuming but so worth it. You have to post a picture when she’s done. 👌

@verguinia, awww don’t feel bad. We love when people like our food to where we would make it just for them. (A full pot kinda thing) it’s a good thing she willing to. Some say when they have time, which is barely but they always will make an effort to get you a plate of their best. Let the lady cook some good food for you!
