Good morning. What test do you all use to see if you're leaking amniotic fluid? Wanna try an at home…

I think there something about placing a pad on and if it soaks the pad you are leaking - I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s something like this

@girlmom. I know some ppl laid on their side for 20 mins but that didn't work for me. I can just be sitting though and get a few small gushes but go to the bathroom and nothing comes out

@kay.ari_, I’m sorry hun I’m not really sure my water broke in the hospital . I would just place a pad on line down reeled Myb 10 Min and see if it soaking through than yes it’s your water

@girlmom. Kinda but Idk. I had a cerclage placed at 20 weeks and since then I've had a crazy amount of discharge. Also I take progesterone vaginally and that changes the smell.

Didn’t try one but if you go to dr no sex for 48 hours so they can determine whether it’s the amniotic fluids

@kay.ari_, In that case, it would hurt to go make sure. Dry birth is very painful.

@alishap1212 yes I'm going to do that because the nearest hospital that equipped to do anything pregnancy related is an hours drive away

I'm going to try my PCP at 8. They don't like to see me because they aren't the ones handling my pregnancy. I'm high risk and no one there specializes in high risk pregnancies.

I was told to put a pad on and if you filled it within a certain amount of time it’s leaking fluid. If it stops and starts and doesn’t fill a pad it’s most likely urine

If you know anywhere that has ph strips that’s how they test it
