Sorry about long post but I need to rant: You know what makes no sense to me...how a school that has a 120 kids total in their high school (Freshman-Senior) and they still make cuts on teams. Back when I was a junior I got cut from varsity volleyball team because j wasn’t able to show up to open gyms because I worked full time during the summer. But I paid for the expensive camps they make mandatory for us to go too...I paid for the expensive uniforms, shoes, and team wear! All because I worked that full time job because my parents couldn’t afford it. I gave him my peace of mind telling him that sorry I can’t be privileged like most is these students who have rich parents and I have to work to do things I want but I’m getting cut because I decided to work instead...I was suppose to be started that year! Now the same exact thing is happening to my sister! Difference is my parents have money but want my sister to work for things she wants and for things she does...not did the sports but for a car, gas, and hang with friends and she was told same thing I was...she was unreliable all because she works instead of going to open gym! Honestly I find it horrible because they are basically teaching them that they need to give up work to please them during their summer break! I was taught to work hard and I did and j know my sister is taught the same thing but she is more devastated than I was because she won’t be with her best friend on the volleyball team and she was the only one who was cut and she seems embarrassed by it...because she works....

I went to a small school too. There were 365 kids K-12. I was cut from the varsity cheerleading squad because my mom wouldn't let me drive 30 miles in white out blizzard conditions to cheer at a JV game. My principal told me I had a disciplinary problem (because I listened to my parents). I transferred a week later.

@sassybitch, seriously makes no sense with some schools systems! My parents wouldn’t let me drive on blizzard type environments either 🙄 sorry for listening to our parents I guess 🤷🏼♀️ wish there was another school to transfer too but really there isn’t lol

@paigerue2013 I was lucky that way. We needed to make the change any way. My parents were the town drunks, so my siblings and I were treated pretty shitty on a daily basis by both students and teachers. I'm really sorry you and your sister have to deal with that.

Oh wow... so as chaotic as the world already is now and days, we now have students getting cut from sports BECAUSE their parents are raising them right? Oh my....
These schools are so pathetic!
