I’m seriously stressed (rant) so I live with my mother as I’m her care giver. Since February she’s been looking for a new place big enough to accommodate all of us. (She has section 8) I did all the foot work and found some beautiful houses, there was only one that I absolutely could not stand. For one the landlord was living in the place and something about her was just off. Fast forward to mid February when our lease is almost up my mother “felt pressured” (in her words) so she took the ONE house I was COMPLETELY against. Okay now may comes around and this landlord clearly did not pass inspection because it took till JUNE to move us in and this place is SO. Crappy for 1250$ a month I’ve been crying and frustrated since we moved here. The shower head is broke, there’s no washer/dryer (like promised), there’s an ant infestation, the bathroom smells like mildew, the refrigerator does not work & now our furniture will not be delivered until the 18th. So our clothes have NO WHERE to go & my mother is getting frustrated with me because I keep complaining about everything & she’s trying to bring my kids folded clothes in my room when I just got it organized for the baby & I told her they have to stay in bags because there’s NO WHERE TO PUT THEM. I seriously just want to block everyone out, that’s probably why I’m not going into labor how I should because I’m stressed the hell out. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I just wish she would’ve listened in the first place
@ashleyp123, idk but if u explain everything nd have reasons they technically can’t make u stay if it’s technically unsafe nd u can go to court with the landlord cuz she or he is not fixing things Nd the windows have to work just give it a try
@selandriac, do the same rules apply for NJ? & I’m just nervous that they’re going to say we have to stay because she “passed inspection “
If u call housing and explain everything she actually can break her lease my mom is on section 8 also and u can break your lease if there is a very good reason
@ashleyp123, your welcome
