My daughter was being difficult this morning while I was on the phone with my mom. I said "you need to help mommy when she is dressing you, not fight me" my mom says you are really hard on her all the time. I said I don't need you to tell me I'm a horrible mom. And then she tells me I'm hard to get along with. Seriously, between the colicky baby that cries constantly, a husband who is so stressed by the kids he says he doesn't want to come home and the postpartum depression and anxiety I don't need any help criticizing myself. I just feel like I'm failing 100% of the time. Having other people confirm it just makes me think the kids would be way better off without me. I love them so much. Not only that I grew up in a household where my siblings and I were spanked, yelled at, and told that we couldn't sing or play loud because it was annoying to my dad. How in the hell can my mom think I'm hard on the kids because I told her to help me when I'm dressing her???

1 You are not failing at all. Your a good mom a very over worked mom who needs help an support. The people failing is your husband an their grandmother they should be supporting you an helping you not putting you down or avoiding the home cause its "stressful". You are strong an a great mom don't let this stuff pile up on you leave chores/list for your husband to do hang up on your mom when you need to do something.

Our mothers expect so much. Yet they did their best raising you. You just focus on what you can do. My husband wants to be home but honestly the way he acts at home I’d rather be here lonely with the kids. We all have our issues you’re doing great, kids are pains. Lol growing pains.
