What are some signs of preeclampsia? And how can your doctor tell if that’s what’s wrong?

Swelling, headaches that won’t go away no matter what you try. High blood pressure and protein in your urine

Awful headaches, swelling, a pain at the top of your tummy, flashing lights and just feeling overall quite poorly. They’d need to collect urine for 24h to check for protein amounts and also do a blood test

Oh and high blood pressure

I always felt like I couldn't stop yawning after I ate. Could've been low oxygen and/or anemia. But also I had to sit down a lot because I was so tired walking around the store. Light sensitivity. And then swelling even if it's not noticeable (like if you're walking and your knees ache for example), headaches, etc. I had it at 30 weeks pregnant, I had been to my OB & had my urine tested. 5 days later I had severe preeclampsia with a lottt of protein in my urine and high blood pressure and they made me have my baby. I felt fine, there were little to no symptoms other than fatigue. I guess it just happens sometimes.

@unicorn_mama, @mummyroo91, @kbbaybee16, my last appointment was last week on the 6th but since this weekend no matter where I go or what I do my body gets so hot, I feel like I can hardly breathe, my feet start killing me randomly, I have had a constant headache (some hours worse than others), I feel like I’m about to pass out if I don’t sit down, and get so sick to my stomach, etc.

I didn’t know if that could be it. I didn’t want to google I would rather hear from actual mommas who have been through it.

@micgennyy, to be honest that definitely sounds how I felt. Please go easy on yourself, stay hydrated! I know it sucks peeing all the damn time but water is the best thing for you right now.

The only thing in what you’ve written that makes me think you need to have your blood pressure checked is the headache. Because of the headache you should really get checked today as if it is preeclampsia or high blood pressure then it can be really dangerous. It comes on so fast as well

@micgennyy, just sounds like the end of pregnancy honestly. Try to drink a ton of water. And Tennessee has been pretty humid too and hot
