Has anyone ever applied for a CareCredit card before?? I need A LOT of dental work done that I’ve been putting off for years, and I can’t anymore, but now my insurance has changed and I can’t afford to pay 50% of the work that needs done (I’ll most likely need a full set of either caps or veneers). I’m looking for a new dentist and I thought most places did payment plans but it looks like everything is through this credit card. Has anyone else ever applied for it or used it?? What all goes into it??

I did since my sons insurance wouldn’t pay the extra 3000 for him to be put to sleep. It’s pretty good so far! If you pay it off within 3 months there is no interest, otherwise if you do t the payments are small

@wishing434ever, Does it hit your credit like a regular credit card? We’re trying to build credit so that we can buy a house within the next year or so. Also do you have to apply for it before everything takes place, or after, or during? I was looking at the application and it asks how much you need and I haven’t even been in for a quote yet.

@wishing434ever, I have insurance but with small procedures (fillings and cleanings) I pay 20% out of pocket and with large procedures (veneers, surgery) I pay 50%. My dental health is awful, partially hereditary and partially due to an eating disorder so I’ve always been embarrassed about my teeth and I’ve put it off for too long. 😪

We are working on our credit also to buy a home so I was worried about that too. It didn’t make our score go down by getting it. It actually went up after our first payment. We applied the day of his procedure since he ended getting a lot of work done since he was being put to sleep anyways.
