Is it normal to not be producing milk yet? I only have 3.2 weeks left until our wee peanut arrives…

Totally normal. Your milk doesn't come in until 3/4 days after birth. Before then it's just colustrum. I never had any leakage before I gave birth with my other 2 and I successful breastfed both of them for 14 months. You'll be fine.

One bit of advice is to ask the midwives to watch you with your latch and show you different ways to feed. Every hospital is different but I found that really helpful. On my second he fed constantly so I asked to see a lactation consultant and she was amazing.

Oh ok thank you! I thought I'd at least have the colostrum in by now but I guess everyone's different. It's just I've seen a few posts from some of the other mums to be on here who are not as far on as I am and they have either got their milk or their colostrum already, I think that's what is making my anxious tbh.

Yes that's perfectly normal! If you are concerned about not producing enough milk after baby is born, the best advice I had (from my friends back home in Germany) is to drink alcohol free beer (trust Germans to come up with that lol). But it's a magic cure and no midwife in the UK will ever tell you about it. Good luck and let me know if you have any breastfeeding related questions :) xx
