I noticed this today with my son bellybutton.. Is this something I should take him to the hospital for or it would be fine to wait for Monday to schedule an appointment with the Dr??
I'm worried and when I'm worried I over think things.. 😭

Update: Went to urgent care. They told me what he has is called umbilical cord granuloma and they put silver nitrate on it and it should fall off on its own.

- Looks infected, possibly herniated.. If he doesn’t have a fever, I personally would wait till tomorrow.. of course it’s up to you.. maybe just wash with soap and water ..
Take the baby in for an appointment as soon as possible. It looks to be infected to me. Maybe a little dry blood around is fine but this is not that. There way more going on and it doesn’t look ok to me.
It looks infected honestly. Please don’t use rubbing alcohol on it. Make a doctors appointment. Keep track of how he’s feeling if he’s acting different just in case.
Ummm I’m no expert but I don’t think you should use rubbing alcohol. that would hurt the baby. Maybe you should take him in to get it checked, it looks a little off
yeah my baby hers was the same way when hers fell off. so just use rubbing alcohol and q-tips
thats nothing to worry about its normal just clean it with rubbing alcohol every day
