Oh! Wait. I just remembered. It sucked because when we switched it did mean that we had a whole new deductible to meet. Anything we had paid towards the deductible previously was gone, so we did have to pay a lot more for his birth than we would've had we stayed with the same insurance.

Not for us. The hardest part was the week I had a visit but we didn't have the new cards yet. My doctor just let me call with the info when I got it.

I was worried because we aren't married and not every company allows for domestic partners as well, but it was fine.
