My pediatrician says they start showing interest at around 2 but there not mature enough until 3-4 I would just go at her pace

My 2 year old also took a break. And she actually just started again a month ago on her own. She just told me one day, she didn’t want a pull up on and started using the potty.

I make her wear a pull up at night still tho.

Go with the flow. If it’s stressful for either one of you it’s not the right time.

I haven't consistently been training my son either. It's like he gets the idea but also doesn't and if I put him on the potty to go he won't go at all until he has another diaper on

Can she say potty? I potty trained my son at 17 months and he just said potty for pee and poop for a little while and it worked.

I had to take a break with my daughter recently..she was very off and on with with telling us and being willing to sit on the potty and actually using it 😔

@npie, yes that’s definitely what’s happening

@amya2, no she usually just points to her pull up. She knows a lot of words but potty isn’t one 😩 but she does say pot but never wants to go sit on it unless she feels like it

Same here I’m glad I’m not the only one going through this! My son will be 3 soon and he is resisting and he is in speech therapy and his talking has came along way! I think we should wait as well I don’t wanna rush him

@tristansmama2015, no problem and yess I think she’ll be talking in sentences by the end of the summer . She is saying new words every day and trying hard to hold conversations 🙌🏽
