I ate Jimmy John's every single day when I was pregnant with my now 2 year old son ? that was my first meal after he was born as well , I made my dad stop on the way to the hospital lol
I ate jimmy johns multiple times a week with my first and third kiddos!! It was all I could stomach. I must be the worst mother ever, but I have never heated up my deli sandwiches. I've always eaten the meat cold and I have 3 very healthy kids. Maybe I'm just weird. ??♀️ BUT those pickles are incredible. Probably going to get one tomorrow now. Lol
@Erin no I just take the meat off and heat it up. I know it can still be contaminated on the bread but I really haven't cared too much. The sandwiches help curb my cravings for burgers and Mexican food lol. I've gained 6-7lbs already and asked my Dr about it because I was concerned. She told me I'll gain more in the next 4 weeks then it'll slow down after. Says it's because I'm taking progesterone and normal. Thank god. ?
Jimmy Johns doesn't use prepackaged meats. No need to heat them (listeria is found in the plastic packaging). I eat their sandwiches constantly. Fresh meat, veggies and bread. YUM!
Omg.. I want that pickle NOW!!!! Hahahaha.i have looked at this dang picture over and over. I even showed my husband.. and told him that this picture made me so happy.. haha
I eat lunch meats. I avoided them my first pregnancy and the latest listeria recalls have been for bagged salads, and ice cream. Honestly if you avoided everything that "could" be contaminated you would have nothing to eat! Practice safe food handling, wash your fresh produce and avoid sketchy food.

A sandwhich sounds SO good right now!

@Erin yes. You can heat up the meat in a pan. Some do it in the microwave

Firehouse steams their meat! I just found that out and plan on taking a trip there soon. I need turkey!

The pickle was the best part! Orgasmic ? I like mine cold too so I'll heat up the meat and chill it in the fridge after.

Pp is right. We hand slice all of our meats and cheese. Also veggies. Honestly i eat it fairly often and my babys healthy so far

Listeria is found in soil and water, not packaging. So just be careful!!
deleted-user·
And the meat can also contain salmonella and toxoplasma!
