We did our daughter’s around her first birthday. We took her to a tattoo and piercing studio. Like the others have stated, take her to a professional not some place that uses a piercing gun.
We were told that getting them done early, before they know what their ears are or once they’re old enough to know not to mess with them is best. Luckily, we didn’t have any problems with our lo messing with them.
We did my daughters ears at 6 months. We did it at Claire's. In my opinion they did a great job! But if your doctors office does it, I think that's the best way to go! Good luck!

Most places make you wait until they are at least 2-3 months.

I got her done at 3 months my mom said that sometime in the hospital they ask you and they do it but they didn’t do that with me.
