quick biscuits yall know

I don't know where your from, but around my house they have a biscuit mix in the flour section called southern biscuits formula L and you just add water and just mix it by hand and roll them out. Also you can buy frozen biscuits in the freezer section that aren't as good as your grandmas home made biscuits, but are WAY better than canned any day!

It doesn’t take me too long to make biscuits but I can’t give you exact measurements other than I use 2 cups of self rising flour sifted. I use about 3/4 cup of crisco shortening and use my hands to mix it into the flour until it looks crumbled. Then I mix in buttermilk just until wet and stir it around with my hands until I get a ball. Wash my hands and then get some flour on them and pinch dough off the ball and roll it in my hands, put it on the baking sheet and move on to the next one. Bake at 400 until lightly golden. Best homemade southern buttermilk biscuits ever!

I absolutely cannot make homemade biscuits to save my life. It's a complete diaster granted I don't BURN THEM (I even burn the canned ones ?).

Ty I googled it and it brought up the posted link so I'm going to try them. You ladies are awesome. I know Google's there but I always like to hear what you already know works.

I'm interested in this chicken and bean recipe

Super simple. I soak beans this time white and pinto over night. I used bone i legs and wings bc that's all we had but you can use any thing. I marinated the chicken over night in just basic seasonings and water flat in a Ziploc in the fridge over night as well.

At 6am i rinsed the beans added them to the crock pot with two tbsp bacon grease for flavor. Then the marinated chicken on top I add just enough water to barely cover everything and set crock pot to low.

We got home at three pm. I took the chicken out removed the bones and fat and just out the meat back and removed the crock lid and set to high for an hr to thicken up. Add a little more seasoning to taste and sides of your choice and wala. I'm doing drop biscuits and corn. Rice is great too. Super easy super cheap!
