You should probably take the adult fish out and put them into a separate tank for a while so they don't eat the babies

U can buy a small clear container that hangs on the inside of the fish tank. This is to keep babies separate from the adult fish. If u want them to stop having babies then I suggest u get rid of the male fish.

I'm not sure. The parents are really protective and naturally getting aggressive with the other cichlids and the internet says that they are really good at protecting their young and there is no way we can keep all if them.

I'm thinking once they are big enough we could donate them to a pet store? In a perfect world so would agree to getting another tank. I'm the type of person thst brings in outside plants in the winter instead of just replanting. He looks at me crazy for bringing in the flowers boxes and if I tell him I wanna get another tank...yea that wont go well.

No this is a tank thats small n sits on on one of the corners inside ur tank. Its clear n has slots so water can go inside but the babies can't swim out. U just keep them in there till they get to the size where they can't be eaten by the other fish.

@Vic. They are really cute. I'd snap a picture but I think looking in the tank is stressing the parents out. I thought all fish just hatched them and left them. Apparently convict cichlids are monogamous, and both parents actively participate in raising them.
