I wore the hospital gown for the labor, then as soon as I was able to get up walk that evening I wore my own clothes. Mainly just sports bra and t shirt. I didn't wear pants until the last day because I was usually covered up with blankets

I ordered one from Amazon baby be mine brand. I won't wear it during labor but it will definitely be great to make me feel good about myself while everyone is traipsing through my room after. Lol

I brought my own robe. So long as it opens and give them access to check on you I think they don't care. I did get a fairly inexpensive one just in case I ruined it, but the underwear and giant pads they give you worked really well.

My friend was offered to wear her own clothes during labor. She chose their gown lol. I would definitely aim for a dark material and something breathable and maybe a nursing one so you can get that skin to skin immediately
