I definitely would recommend different type of sandwiches. Those were the first things to go at my baby shower and even though their so plain and not special, they were so good. Idk why.
Also you can do nachos. Get breakfast sausage meat, Rotel, velveeta cheese, and mix it together and serve with chips. Very delicious and cheap.
You can also cut up a bunch of sausages or the little smokies and put them in bbq sauce and serve as a side.
If you have a Jimmy Johns near you . you can get party platter sandwiches thats what i got for my babyshower with a pickle bucket and i just bought doritos and lays .

Also at my daughters first birthday we just had sloppy joes and hot dogs an chili everyone loved it easy and cheap with crockpots

Walmart has a 6 foot sub for $35 I think? But it's good and it's what we always order for parties because it's priced so great!

Premade frozen taquitos, bake them and serve them with salsa and sour cream/guacamole.
