My 3 yr old daughter has a thyroglossal duct cyst in her neck and will be having a cyst trunk…

My 3 yr old daughter has a thyroglossal duct cyst in her neck and will be having a cyst trunk procedure done on June 13th.

They said it will be 1hr and 30 mins long and she will have to have to incisions in her neck.

I'm so nervous because she is so young and it worries me. Has anyone had a child undergo this procedure or any type of surgery ?

I don’t know what to expect and I don’t want my daughter to be afraid because of me. I’m doing my best to keep it together, but it’s getting closer to the date and I’m starting to panic.

What can I expect ? I’m scared she will be in pain afterwards and I know she will need extra care. I want her to feel comfortable as possible.
