Have any of you ladies have a history of reoccurring abnormal Pap smears? After I gave birth my OB…

If you have been having abnormal paps you should have been getting tested for abnormal cells and then biopsied. If your OB hasn’t been doing this go find a new one.

I’m so upset your OB hasn’t done more for you considering your family history!!

@phoebesmommy, neither my doctor or OB has done anything about it. She said she would test me again in a year....

Honestly, I would go get a second opinion. I would say to ask your current OB to take a biopsy but with her lackadaisical approach I wouldn’t continue w that. I would not mess around w an abnormal pap. Abnormal paps need further testing. I used to have HPV and ended up needing biopsies and they found precancerous cells on my cervix so I had treatment that basically froze my cervix. No probs since then. But that was 14 years ago. If I never had been thoroughly checked out, who knows what things would be like for me today.

@phoebesmommy, I’m going to call a different OB tomorrow and get a second opinion. All 3 Pap smears I’ve had have been abnormal and my actual doctor told me it could not possibly be related to my moms cervical cancer because cervical cancer is not hereditary but I think 3 coming back all abnormal is crazy and it makes me worry because although I had a smooth pregnancy and delivery my daughter was only in the 10th percentile my entire pregnancy. Idk if it’s related or coincidence but it does worry me so I’m going to get a second opinion
