Anyone ever use evening primrose oil? I’m thinking about taking it to ripen my cervix

I used it with my last 2 babies don't think it helped me really well it's hard to say with my daughter I had a 3 hour labor and delivery

Did you take it orally or the other way?@tosha6

@ashleyp123 I started taking them orally at 35 weeks then vag at 36 weeks had my babies at 39 weeks and 39+2 weeks

I used it with my 2nd but I don’t think it did anything as I had to be induced anyway. However my induction went really well. It was a very easy labor and delivery

I used it and im using it now, vaginally. I love them but they can be messy. Definitely makes a firm cervix soft consistency and i think it helps ease labor.

I did. I took it starting at 36+4. I took 1 orally and inserting 1 sometimes 2 vaginally before bed. When I went to my appointment at 38wks I was 3cm, soft but still thick. I went home and danced to the “baby momma” song for about 25 minutes and walked up and down the hills in my neighborhood for about 40 minutes. I then showered, went to bed, had an orgasm, then Inserted 2 epo’s vaginally. I literally went into labor within 10 minutes. I made it to be hospital 20 minutes later and had my baby less than an hour after that. I really think epo in conjunction with walking helped me achieve a much much shorter birth. I started contractions at 2:30am, my water broke around 2:45am in the car, and I had my baby at 3:51am. I pushed for about 2-3 minutes and baby was out. I didn’t even have time to get an epidural, I gave birth to her all natural without and tears or complications.
