Ok, I haven't posted on mom life yet, but I have a dilemma. A few years ago when I split up from my son's dad my son and I moved in with my mother and father. We stayed there for about a year and moved out. When I was moving out I realized that the disc with my son's 1 year pictures were missing. I asked my mom and she told me she was sure they were around there somewhere and she would try to find them.... I've been asking for years (3) and she still hasn't given them to me. I started getting worried that they were really gone forever. Well last time I was at her house with my kids my daughter was playing with one of those boxes that looks like a decorative book. She opened the box and there were my son's pictures. This book is always in the living room and was bought recently, so I know my mother knew they were there. I took the disc and didnt say anything because I didnt want to fight with my mother.... fast forward to today and she has called screaming because I took the disc. I know I shouldn't have taken it without saying something, but shouldn't she have given them back when o asked? I paid for the photos and the disc is truly mine. I just dont know how to handle the situation now. 😔

I would have told her I found it and then took it back. She obviously knew where they were, if she wants copies that can be made. It was cruel she lied to you and try to take something that is yours. She didn’t make any sense about the situation.

Tell her exactly what you said. You paid for the photos and the disc is yours and if she wants a copy you will be happy to give her one. And also tell her how much it was hurting you thinking for 3 years they were lost.

Tell her honey that's mine ! You should have given it to me 3 years ago ! You lucky I didn't say nothing to you when I found it. I don't okay about my baby's and they stuff ! So please with ask do respect mama, Do NOT call me yelling like I'm in the wrong cause that's alllllll you !! Now if you want a copy I can make that happen and YOU can pay for it sense you lied this whole time. I would have been pissed girl !!!

Thank you ladies! I really felt wrong for a minute when she was yelling at me, but we talked it out (thankfully) and I put them on a flash drive for her. I'm glad yall didnt act like I was horrible. 😂 I'm just happy to have them back.

@mamallama, she sounds like a nut. Why would she hide your sons pics that you paid for? I don’t understand the logic.

@cams She is a nut. Lol. I guess she was scared she would never get copies. You would think during the 3 years she hid them she would have gone and had some made. 🤷🏻♀️ Stuff like this has caused me to distance myself from her over the years. Guess this was confirmation that it's a good idea.

That belongs to you. I'd be pissed at her for hiding it all that time. What was her purpose in doing that? She has no right to be mad at you, she was with holding something that belongs to you.
