Any of you ladies deal with this?
My daughter is 2 years 2 months old and doesnt talk much. She grunts and says alot of words but i notice she struggles alot. I spoke to her pediatrician and have set her up with speech therapy with the regional center. If youve dealt with this does it get better? Am i over reacting and should have given her more time?

He has improved from speech therapy. His doc didn’t think it was necessary quite yet but I kinda pushed for it since I was worried.

My little guy turns 2 in January. His speech therapist said she’s not worried about him catching up. He is a busy body and like to do hands on things instead of talking.

My 3 year old son struggles a little still he does say a couple of words. I have never taken him to speech therapy his doctor told me as long as he says a couple of words that’s fine I’m not so worry about it either since my other son went through the same thing he is 6 years old now and he doesn’t stop talking at all. Just work with her like Abc, colors, 123 etc. that’s what I did with my kids even her name. Good luck

@alicianoelle yeah i was told sometimes they have lazy stages but i was scared not to get her the help if she needed it so i asked for early intervention. Ill stick with the therapy for now and see if its helpful. Thank you

@wishing434ever if you dont mind me asking , how old is he? Has it improved?
I feel like im comparing her milestones with my 3.5 year old and maybe thats why im alarmed. But then again others seem concerned for her too

My daughter had bad speech problems when she turned two as we'll. I gave it time and she has gotten alot better. Sometimes they go through stages like that however if you're worried I don't think speech therapy would hurt. I say do a couple visits and if you see some improvements I'd take her out and give her some time to just figure it out until her 3rd birthday but if you see no progress reconsider.

Not overreacting at all. My son wasn’t talking either by that time and is now in speech therapy too.
