I keep going back and fourth between wanting another baby and not. How did you ladies decide to have a second one? Did you feel bad for your first? I'm so confused about what I want.

@bcsweetie I see that lol. I love babies too but shes my first and only baby. She gets all my attention. I want her to get that still. And honestly I'm scared of going from one baby to two

I think if you're thinking about it then you aren't finished yet. I felt bad for my first when my second came along and bad for my second when my third came along. It's hard not to feel that guilt sometimes because it's such a big adjustment for everyone, but it does get better.

@crharmer I just don't ever want to take away from her. I look at her and sometimes I think that she's more than enough and then I see people with new babies and it makes me want one too. And then I think of all the work. All the waking up and not getting to sleep properly. Bottle feeds and diaper changes. It's so overwhelming

I loooooove babies and always wanted a large family. Since we struggled with infertility for years and had our little man at 37 and 38, on top of having a horrible pregnancy because of my thyroid, it’s very clear for me that this little man of ours won’t have siblings.

I decided to have a second without question because I think it will be nice for my daughter to have a sibling, someone to play and share memories with. I also grew up with 2 siblings close in age so I might be bias!

@miraclebaby37 I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm sure it wasb't easy to go through all of that but to be so lucky to have one tiny human is so amazing. My first was a surprise. I was 25 when I had her. And I know now that if I wanted have another I could. And I always wanted 2 but after having one I really struggle to commiting to having another one. After all of the sleepless nights and her acid reflux I'm just so releived to have a toddler that sleeps through the night and that's so cute and cuddly. I dread having to do that part all over but on the other hand I have a brother and I could never imagine my life without him. While I don't know what it's like to be an only child I can imagine that it's very lonely. I just don't know what to do

@jessicajohnston I have a brother and I always wanted two for the same reason. But it's just so hard to think about doing the baby thing all over again and the guilt of having another one. It's all so overwhelming

@mommy1991, awe, well there’s no rush either! You can always wait it out and maybe once your daughter starts to become a bit more independent you’ll feel more ready?

@jessicajohnston I've thought about that as well but me and my brother are 4 years apart and while I still love him and we get along now, we were never in the same ish stage of life so as kids it was difficult for us to get along. I have cousins that are a year apart and they were always close. They fought of course but they were just closer. I kinda want that for Willow.

@mommy1991, I think seeing the bond between your children will overpower any negative feelings of guilt ! 🙂

I was the exact same, I was content with my 1st born. But as time went on I really wanted another baby but I was more worried how my 3 year old would react and the jealousy .. and honestly I’m glad I went through with having another baby ❤️💚 They are best friends

Not to push for just one child lol but both my husband and I were only children and we never suffered from issues of loneliness, I was spoiled with my parents attention and it meant that both parents spent time with me equally. I have thought about having a second as well but don't want my son to loose out on the exclusive care he gets now and don't want him to feel pushed aside for another baby. I had a lot of friends that had a ton of sibling rivalry and parents having favourites. But yet even though I was happy I always wondered what it would have been like to be a sibling and have seen some really amazing bonds between siblings. I guess there is a positive to both lol that probably doesn't help you much 😂

@laura.lorentsen33 it doesn't haha but I do have a brother and I think I would be so sad if I didn't. We had some sibiling rivalry but it was stupid kids being stupid kids. Not really knowing what the reality is. My brother was book smart and I struggled a lot in school. I was more on the creative side. And I always thought my parents liked him better but in reality they just wanted me to do better so they pushed me to try harder. They never compared us. I compared us. You know? I don't want her to be alone in the world if something ever happened to me and my boyfriend. I want her to have someone to talk to.
