If you need a suggestion the Graco wayz is an affordable seat or harmony defender 360 both are about 100$ and last seat they will need. They go from harness all the way to backless booster

My 6 year old is still harnessed but she's tiny (weight Wise) but she's 3'7. Most people just don't know.

No there are affordable seats that will keep them harnessed until they can fit correctly for a seatbelt using a booster. However I know most boosters have a minimum weight of 40 pounds anyways.

Minimum age is 5, but kids are usually closer to 6 or 7 before they're truly ready

When they can sit correctly in one even when they fall asleep. Like kot slump forward when asleep.
