Yeah he hates babies because the last family had one that never stopped crying and around three years of age hurt his animals. Not a legit reason.

@nandfmoderator legally though a child doesn't count until 2 in most areas

Right here in Flint Michigan they have a discrimination law but my friend and I are concerned because too many landlords in the area get away with it.

I'm going to try to see what my caseworker says and if he isn't allowed to do that then I will be helping my friend sue the pants off her landlord.

Here is the same. All the leases I’ve signed have stated 2 heartbeats per room. But when my son was in a crib one of the places let us do a 1 bedroom until he was out of it. We moved out before he was in a crib though to a 2 bedroom.

It will be hard to prove. Unless he's an idiot he's not going to tell her that's the reason (her word against his) or put it in writing.

He has printed out a new lease contract all changed up from the original and placed her signature on it then he tried to claim it's the original stating no more than two heart beats in the house. But...We have the original and it doesn't say anything like that. Plus the day my friend signed the original lease she took a photo of it and that too says aa different story.

@suzuki.nanami23 looks like she was smart and did the right thing. I'd let him try to evict but take my time in moving.

He forged her signature? If that's the case and can be proved then that alone will put the landlord in a shit ton of trouble. I'd go and consult a lawyer and just ask questions to see what can be done legally. That's usually free
