Are Baby Hammocks Safe? Choosing the Safest Bed for Your Baby

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I read the hammocks are supposed to keep the baby from rolling over. That’s all I know of.

I'm sry for ur lost ..wht really helps so they don't roll over is either swaddle an lay down in the crib or get a lil thing tht has semi bumpers on the side u put the baby in the middle and the bumpers prevent the baby from rolling it's called a anti roll pillow

You could also buy on of those foot sock that monitors there breathing, heart beat, and I think oxygen too.

Honestly, you aren’t supposed to use anything extra in the crib, like bumpers or positioners because they can suffocate. You would think they wouldn’t even be able to sell this stuff, but they still do for whatever reason. I would honestly call and a pediatrician because these hammocks are relatively new but they claim to prevent them from rolling over.

And I definitely recommend swaddling, we did with my daughter. But now she rolls over all the time on her own.

I was looking into getting one. My friend got one for like 30-40$ on Amazon and the baby rolled on her side and actually flipped in the hammock. So I’m super skeptical rn. But then again the quality of some items on amazon are not the best.

@___youaremysunshine___, Sorry ladies to be the negative one but baby hammocks are NOT safe or recommended for newborn infants the safest place and (evidence shows)for a infant is to sleep on a flat firm surface like a crib or bassinet with a tight fitted sheet.. please please speak to a doctor or nurse before any of you decide to buy any these products for your baby! Do your homework please❤️

@melissaredfield87, agreed!!!! Also I would recommend having baby sleep in your room with you, they recommend up until 1 year.
