Okay ladies I have to vent. The girl I'm living with wants to throw me a baby shower but she asked if I knew anyone else in my family that wants to help... because unfortunately no one in my family wants to help. So my step mom said that she would. I wanna do my baby shower at the end of aug, I'm due oct 3rd. My step mom is trying to get things planned but the girl I live with wants to do it sometime in sep I don't wanna do it that late.. I feel like I should have some say in my baby shower or am I wrong??? The girl said that I shouldn't be thinking about a baby shower only about getting a place and being pregnant. I'm about to give up and throw myself one!! It's shouldn't be this stressful

They can do the planning but their plans should be okayed by you; date, time, place, theme, etc
If Aug is better, stand your ground. Its not fair to push you out of the say so when it comes to YOUR baby shower.

@leroydoom, my step mom is on my side and she's doing it when I want.. she just told me the dates that are available at the place I'm doing it either the 19th of aug or the 26th of aug.. I don't think that's to early. And the girls name is vergie and she said you need to just sit back and we'll take care of it. Like no I wanna pick the date the food and the theme. And every time I bring it up she gets pissy my step mom is trying to come over and plan things and she's not having it.

I would do it asap. I missed my baby shower because I had my baby early. You never know.

@jennyg51397 She sounds like a control freak. Not having it like she doesn't want your step mom over or she interrupts you when your step mom is there?

@leroydoom, vergie asked to fine someone to help because it can get pricy so I did now she's getting mad that it should be when I wanna do it and the food I want. But wants it to go her way and wants everything to be last min..

@jennyg51397, you're so right though. I had been to my OB 5 days before they induced me earlier for an anatomy scan and they told me everything was "perfect". You really never know. Sometimes there is no warning. You do what you feel is right. Plus you might be cranky or on bed rest by then too. Pregnancy can be crazy.

@cams, I have no idea maybe because I'm living with her and she's like we're are you gunna put everything from the baby shower she wants me to get a place. Like I understand that we need to get a place I just started my job I need time to get money flowing again. But she knew I was pregnant when she let me move In.
