It is so hard to give my daughter medicine!! Shes freaks out like crazy. I've tried evrything .
This is going to be a long week
@kaylas_mommy123, honestly I never wake Noah up to take his. It would be all bad if I did lol he just gets it during the day but again it might just take longer
@noahs.mommy well thank you for letting me know, good think you told me now otherwise I probably would have continued to give her milk right after & it would hsve took longer for her to heal
@kaylas_mommy123, yeah cause it washes it away and it needs to sit in her mouth being that she can’t yet spit it out properly or swish it around in her mouth. I had thrush at 8 years old because my brother had it and we shared something I wasn’t allowed to drink anything for a few minutes after each dose
@noahs.mommy it's just a struggle cause it's every 6 hours & she has to tske it at 1am & I'm scared she won't go back to sleep after I give it to her , especially cause I kind of have to force her
@noahs.mommy see why don't the doctors tell me things like that . She usauly drink milk right after the medicine causw I'm sure she doesn't like it ;/
I don't want to mess anything up & just make sure it goes away, I won't give her anything anymore after she takes it
@kaylas_mommy123, gross 😭. Sucks because she can’t take it with anything. Noah spits his out sometimes but it still works just don’t give her anything to eat or drink right after. It will do its job it just might take longer.
@kaylas_mommy123, is it yellow? Noah has the yellow one and it’s the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted lol
@noahs.mommy you think so, I feel like it has no flavor lol.
She's taking 2.5 ml every 6hours 4 times a day for 7 days
@kaylas_mommy123, ooo that stuff is nasty. How much is she taking? Noah is taking it too(off and on whenever his thrush comes back) he takes 1 ml and it’s a straight quick shoot almost like a shot of alcohol lol
@noahs.mommy I try, she's such a big fighter & screams like crazy, & I give little at a time cause she trys spitting it all out
It sounds like torture I know but once you do it it won’t look like torture also try giving her a small treat after for being a big girl despite the crying and it will help the nasty medicine taste go away
Unfortunately if it’s an important medicine like an antibiotic you need to force it in her. Use a syringe pinch her cheeks so she’s making that fishy face and put the syringe in her cheek and slowly administer it. Every time I give Noah medicine for long periods of time he starts getting tired of it and fights me and I have to hold him down to me and force him to take it by doing that. Don’t let go of her cheeks until she swallows it she won’t be able to spit it out if she’s making that fish face
@kaylas_mommy123, you’re welcome
