Any tips on helping baby latch? I am breastfeeding and formula feeding right now and my baby latched wonderfully the first day but now she acts like she doesn’t want the breast. I always offer breast before bottle and she struggles with staying latched now, I think it’s because the bottle is easier but I don’t want to pump and fill a bottle pumping just hurts. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

The bad thing about introducing bottle and breast is they can develop a preference. Ask to see a lactation consultant

Thank you ladies I am seeing one while I’m still here in the hospital she is supposed to come by before I get discharged to help me, baby just started having issues latching last night so I’m having to use a bottle right now hopefully we can get something figured out!

squeeze ur breast while putting the breast to her to latch on it always helps me i do both as well

@mokimbo, yes I am, she’s been eating around 1-2 ounces every 2-3 hours or so. I’ve tried just offering breast and not a bottle but she’s just not latching very well
