@mommynmotion never heard of any, I hear of the ones where people point fake guns at people but they should know not to point guns fake or not. I was taught you never pull a gun (real) unless your going to definitely use it.
@mommynmotion and that's sad. It really is, anytime a child dies. But if the parents taught the child that fake guns or weapons period aren't toys and not to point them this wouldnt of happened.
If an officer sees someone with a gun pointed at them they will likely shoot, fake or not. The amount of time it takes to determine whether the gun is real or not, is the same amount of time they’re risking getting shot and if they guess, they better hope they’re right. Its the parents job to teach their children about weapons, how to use them, and then determining whether or not their child is mature enough to have one. A lot of times people think that they’re just toys and great gifts, when in cases like kids getting shot for pointing a gun at someone, it’s not the case. The person who placed a fake gun in their windshield wasn’t very smart imo, since all things should be put away right and safe. Even BB guns can cause damage.
I agree with you. With all the controversy going on all toys guns in my house have been thrown out and destroyed. I live in Orlando Florida where this is a HUGE issue everyday. My son knows not even touch a toy one without my permission.

Obviously it's a fake gun, & it's laying there. No one will get "shot", because a fake gun is sitting in the dash of a vehicle.

Orange tip might mean it’s safe, but it’s hard to see in the dark and some people think it’s cool to spray paint them.
