Hey mummies-
I'm kind of stuck on my baby's routine. Our day normally goes something like this:
7-8-wake time
7.30-8-6oz bottle
8.30-9-breakfast
9-9.30-down for nap(usually wakes around 10.30)
11am-6oz bottle
12pm-lunch( veg purée )
12.30-1-down for nap
3pm- 6oz Bottle
3.30-4-down for nap(I wake her at 5pm)
5.30-dinner
6.15-6.30-bath and pyjamas
7pm-6oz bottle
7.15-bedtime
This sometimes works well but sometimes on 12.30-1 nap, she sleeps for ages and misses 3pm bottle and she always sleeps from 3.30-4 nap unless I wake her. Has anybody got any ideas. Whether I give her 3 feeds but more in her bottle, change routine around. She can only handle about 2-2.5 hour awake time before becoming very tired again and I always like her to have a short nap before dinner time as she becomes very overtired come bedtime. She's a very easy baby and this routine works well sometimes but not all the time. I just hate waking her up x

Routine is all well & good but she's still very young. Her needs will change quite regularly so it's good to be flexible. I never woke mine until they were much older. They usually needed to nap every 2-3hrs around that age. I let them lead the way for the most part. Setting mealtimes is good but it's also ok to push it forwards or backwards a little if she's slept longer or shorter some days.

My son was in a routine from birth but the only routine I had set was bath bottle and bed as he got older the rest fell into place and he is still in that routine now xx

I'd cut down her food personally, 3 meals at 4 months is alot for them, I'd offer extra milk in her bottles she has if 6oz isn't enough put in 7 or 8 x

@amybentley, I've tried putting more milk in her bottles but she only has the 6 or less. I've only just introduced dinner. Her portions are very small. Xx
