Anyone else on an antidepressant and anti anxiety? I am...and I been back on it for about 8 weeks…

yes Been about 8 weeks now I feel much better

I'm on Zoloft for anxiety

@kellyjc, I had to quit cold turkey for the first trimester of the pregnancy and holy crap I thought I was losing my mind!! Lol

I went 2 years before actually taking myself to the dr

@kellyjc, I probably wouldn’t be here if I didn’t stay on my meds or if I would go off of them for a long period of time for 2 years! But happy to hear that you actually got yourself there eventually! It does take a lot!

I did pretty good off the med while preg. But when not preg anxiety sucks. I hate that I have it

@sarah.s, that’s seriously the worst feeling is wishing you didn’t have it but can’t control it...mine gets pretty bad...first trimester j didn’t even want to get out of bed...wanted nothing to do with myself or my husband but I got up for my son and did what I had to for him but that was the only reason I got up....I hated it...I’m so happy that everything is getting on the right track mentally so I can start enjoying my family and son before this baby gets here!

Don't the anxiety and depression meds cause birth defects

I didn't take med while preg.

I took celexa through my second pregnancy & I'm so glad I did. With dd1 I went off of my medicine & had a really tough time. With dd2 I took it & felt much better. I was able to handle things 100x better. I just took a lower dose until I delivered & then I immediately upped it once she was born.

@natcasey9, depending what you take but the one I’m on doesn’t cause anything after second trimester

@paigerue2013 good to know my sister was on meds before she found out she was pregnant and so she stopped taking them and she was afraid that they cause birth defects

@natcasey9, they don’t recommend taking it through the first trimester but they put me back on it in my second
