Smile, listen to what they say, pretend I care & ignore their advise if its not something I agree with. I've learnt a lot over the years to go with my gut & not opinions of others. I used to feel like I was letting people down if I didn't do what thy wanted but now I just don't care, especially when it comes to motherhood. We are all "winging it" & advise from family members who see them as "professional parent's" are ignored. But I'm always polite about it, well unless you are two certain family members then I will tell them to stick their advice where the sun don't shine x

My mother in law gives her opinion even if told not to so I just tune out now

I just tell them (nicely)that I'm the parent and maybe explain why I'm doing it the way I am. Or just listen and then do it your way anyway. Some people just like to have an input so I just let them think they are. Don't be worried about sticking up for yourself to family or anyone- your child your rules xx
