So last night we had a pretty knarly storm come through. Knocked power out, took down branches, took off shingles from roofs.
I get up this morning and there was a terrible order in the front room. Just awful! Had an AC guy come over to check out the smell. Found out I have a whole house air filter from the 70s that’s likely causing the smell. It’s probably dirty so the dude turned it off and said if it’s this the smell will go away but you have to turn it back on or you can back it up into your furnace and cause that to blow up. 😳🤭
I had to turn on my attic fan to suck air from outside in so the smell goes away then I have to take apart that damn filter somehow and clean the filter inside of it.

@babymamaof4, definitely not! Did you guys get lots of knocked down branches too? I think only half my town lost power last night. It was so hot without the ac too! 😩

Yes and some roofs messed up as well. We lost power for about 30-40 minutes

@babymamaof4, the worst was just that caleigha is scared of the thunder and the house is so quiet with absolutely NOTHING running. So she was awake most of it too. Oh also we have a pug that likes to bark at the thunder lol

@santistevanmommie, omg I know my little dog was barking too and my baby slept through it but my 6 year old woke up. But we did have one thunder in particular that was so loud it shook my house like an earthquake

I’m not a fan of thunder either. I don’t know why but it triggers my anxiety. And the cherry to top it all: hubby works nights so it’s just me.
