Been for my last scan! Does anyone understand what they mean when they say centile/percentile?…

I think that’s the growth of your bump or something?xx

It based off averages I think. Like I'm sure it takes in your height weight etc and will give an estimate scale as to how big your bump/baby is. Could be completely wrong 😂xx

@whiteford.lisa05, @emilyjayne27, It says on the screen “Baby is measuring at...” and they put 9th/10th/11th centile etc I don’t get it x

I'd presume it was the same as when baby is born and they're on a certain percentile (recorded in the red books) x

Its worked on percentages of 100. So if ur baby is on the 9th then on average 9% of a 100 are of the same size or smaller at that age. If that makes sense xx

@lynda84, @emilyjayne27, Ahh thank you. I give up now lol the weight of the baby is in my file it’s bigger than my first daughter when she was born lol prob gonna be my biggest x

I should imagine it’s there weight. My son was on the 91st centile and he was 9.6 so the night the number the more they weigh ect x
