I need some help, ladies!
I'm due with baby boy #2 in just a couple months. I originally wasnt going to do another shower since we have most stuff from our son, but everyone wants us to do something.

We are trying to plan a baby sprinkle for all of our close friends and family, both male and female.

We originally were going to do a BBQ at a park, but its SO hot (reaching 100 some days) and now I'd rather find an indoor place.

Where would you ladies look? I'm not good at coming up with games and such so renting a conference room is a last resort. I'm trying to find somewhere fun since there will be kids too. A friend suggested Main Event or Top Golf but pricing them out, it seems way out of our price range.

Any ladies have some ideas that would be fun for adults and kids?

Awesome, I'll definitely check into that. I think the hotel here with the lazy river is a Marriott but I'm not 100%. Thank you so much!

@zombrithemombie, that’s definitely not typical. Each property management company is different and some may not allow alcohol because they don’t want the liability. But I’ve run into very few that don’t allow it. The biggest thing is just no glass containers. They don’t want shattered beer bottles at the pool. You could do it at something like a Residence Inn or a Courtyard or a Hilton Garden Inn. Places like that. They sell and serve alcohol so they’d most likely allow you to bring it in. They’ll also have pools and BBQs. But be sure if it’s something you want access to (like the pool) it is spelled out in the contract so there is no confusion come party time :)

@keebs I love that idea! I wasnt sure if we would be allowed to, my niece had her grad party at a hotel Sunday and we couldn't go to the pool or drink. I wasnt sure if it was regular thing for renting hotel space.

@rikki. I've thought of that, but we really would rather not do it here. Last time we threw my sons party here it was a mess to clean up and it was tiring trying to make room for everyone. We had issues with all the kids on our white couches and some of the kids tormenting our pets, it was a mess lol.

You can have alcohol at hotels. I managed hotels for many many years and you can absolutely have fun at a hotel. I’ve had to shut parties down! Have people bring a cornhole game. Someone can bring other kinds of games. Do like an adult game night while the kids swim or something.

@keebs that's what I meant lol, I've looked at some hotels. I didnt think about pool access. We have a hotel here that has a lazy river, I could try to check it out.

I'm looking for somewhere that allows alcohol too so the guys can have their beer with each other.

moonchild.

I'd honestly just do it at home depending on how many people you're inviting and how much room you have.

I don’t know what you mean by conference rooms, but you could rent a meeting room or event space at a hotel. Get access to the pool for the kiddos. And just do appetizers and caprisun!
