I regularly gave Charlie these... they state that they are for 12 months + hes now 14 months.
He's never left unattended but today I noticed him gagging and not being able to breathe... I tried to let him bring it up himself as they tell you to do, but he couldn't get any air and started to panic... ther was blood too... I think he bit his lip in the panic of not being able to breathe... I patted him on the back as his lips looked like they wer going a funny colour and he wasn't making a sound... I screamed for my mum who grabbed him with such force I think it dislodged the biscuit in his throat and he took a raspy breath of air... after which he threw up thick gingerbread!
I honestly thought I'd lost him ther and then... that was it my baby was going to die!
He's ok... but ive cried all day...
Please please be careful what your giving your little ones and even though I'd debated whether these were too hard for him I went with the guideline on the back... never again!!
Trust your instincts and know how to cope with that situation... if my mum hadnt of been ther the alternative doesn't bare to think about.

They can just choke on anything! Xx

This happened with my little girl but with a crisp. Honestly scariest moment of my life, so I booked myself onto a first aid course, it’s called daisy first aid and they do it round the country. Might be worth doing it, has put my mind at ease. Glad your little ones okay xx

I find my lil man will choke on somethings sometimes but other times he can eat them it's strange xx

I’m glad he’s okay now, they can choke on anything. My little boy did the same two Christmas’s ago on a cracker 😭 xx

@georgina-ox Yea everything I'm now gonna chop up tiny... I read online last night that they can choke on anything as small as a pea so I'm gonna be spending my whole life chopping food up tiny!
It was so scary I'll never give him food like that again xx

@laurabump27, yes I’ve looked on YouTube etc what to do but in the moment I kind of just froze and panicked. Yes time goes so fast and you can’t even remember what happened. Yes the tiniest crisp she’s not good at eating any sorts of crisps so doesn’t have them! Xx
