Sometimes I look at the relationship between my mom's bf "pee paw" ( as the grandbabies call him) and Kai and Sora. They love him to death they call him paw now trying to call him pee paw. I wish my dad was alive to have this bond with them but I think he'd appreciate Danny taking good care of Kai and sora as if they were his own.

My parents and MIL are deceased, and my fil has nothing to with them. It’s definitely hard to think that they won’t ever have that kind of relationship. My husband aunt and uncle have taken the roles of “kiki and pa” and it’s nice that we have people wanting to step up and be there when they don’t have to, but it definitely isn’t the same.

Both my mother and my fiancé's mother have passed. His stepmother, and my dad's girlfriend are my son's grandmas, but it does make me sad knowing that both our mom's never got a chance to be grandmas. They wouldn't rocked at it.
