Could it be that they are spending too much time being the adults when they are at their other homes?

@sassybitch that's exactly what it is. Plus anything that is viewed as "childish" is punished or mocked. I really don't understand how that works with my SD though. They act like she can't do anything without help because she "special" but if she acts like a kid her mom's telling her to sit down and shut up.

@tiredmom That poor girl is probably going to be in therapy most of her life.

@sassybitch yep. She's normally gets past the whole acting like an adult thing the day after she gets back from a weekend trip. But she was gone for a week. She's been acting like this since Saturday and its starting fights with the other kids. The 14yr old tries to step in, but she's 14, she shouldn't be acting like a parent either.

@tiredmom It's the age too. I keep having to remind my son that he's not a parent or an adult.

@sassybitch yeah, plus she's had to watch her brother and sister for years. Its already been ingrained in her. But while she's here she doesn't have to babysit.
