UTI won’t go away! Has anyone expierenced this while pregnant? I have already finished 2 rounds of…

This is my 1st time having it I haven’t finished the meds yet I have 6more days

Be very careful happen to me and it went up to my kidney and I had gotten a kidney infection didn't turn out good almost met the light from my uti not going away I was put in the hospital for for 6 days and they had me know different types of antibiotics via iv and finally it went away

@ambrerumph1440, thats what I am scared of my ob doesn’t seem concerned! I already did 2 antibiotics and it gave me a yeast infection it was horrible I been dealing with this since I was 5 months maybe even before but it still wont go away

I would definitely stress them they did me the same way until it took a turn for the worse then that's when they finally did something Utis are no joke I would call them they may have to switch to antibiotics

@ambrerumph1440 the same thing happened to me. Mines got so bad I had to get a blood and platelet transfusion. I was in ICU for a week.

@toya919 they came in there the day before mine went up and said about a transfusion I said no and the lady told me she say you know you can die right my husband looked at me and said she will get whatever she need to make her good I couldn't walk talk or Nun I could just move my head so sad the had to carry me to the br well my husband they used a wheelchair to transport me I never knew they could be that bad until that day and they thought my kidney wouldn't function properly after my release they recommended dialysis but I prayed to God to heal my body and I left it in his hands but they did tell me if I had to stayed home later I would have never made it worse day of my life I swear I'm glad you overcame it cause that's scary I know I was couldn't do anything like a vegetable frfr

Did they send away the culture to ensure the antibiotics were the right ones? There’s many strains of bacteria that cause them and they need to be sure to use the correct antibiotics. My doc will usually start you on a broad spectrum and then in 48-72 hours call you and let you know if those will work or if you need something more specific.

I had to go back bc the first round of antibiotics wasn’t the right one, and my obgyn didn’t understand why they only went off my urine the first time and did urine and blood work till I got the right antibiotics also, apparently had a not so common bacteria and that’s why my pain came back when I left the hospital, thankfully, bc my right side hurt so bad.. 😢

Try and flush it away. Before I got pregnant with my first my birth control gave me a uti every other week. My body was so used to the antibiotics my doctor said drink nothing but water and cranberry juice to flush it and it worked especially when pregnant
