Do you think I am in the wrong? I have a really good friend, almost like a best friend. 2 years ago she started dating a guy. This guy lied about damn near everything when they started dating, his age, his occupation and even lied about the car he was driving.. ended up not being his even tho he claimed it was. Well anyway just a few months after them being together she found out he sold crack, and also had been having sex with lots of other females!! Well she left him, he went to prison, she stayed in contact with him the whole 8 months he was there, and once he got out she was right by his side again!! He continues to cheat, deal drugs, and beat on my friend! I am the one who has to listen to this lifestyle of hers she's living while she also has a 9 year old son! I just can't associate with her anymore and I've told her this. She can't understand why.

You aren't wrong at all. I wouldn't associate with someone like that when I have kids. She obviously has no intentions to leave him. Walking away would be best.

As sad as it is, you are doing the right thing. She is knowingly putting herself and her kid in a toxic environment and walking away is the smartest move if she will not listen to reason

Just tell her when she decides to leave him for good and get her son away from this guy until then you want nothing more to do with her. If you have to block her number, do so. Do whatever you can to block her from your life. If she comes over tell her not to enter your property again or you'll have her charged with trespassing.

@cak1985 @murphaayyyy @joffree. Exactly! I believe you all are right. I love her to death but I can't keep being her friend. She's not the same person she was and that is probably because of him but she's 28 years old, she has a child and I believe that she should have left him long ago, if not for herself then at least for her kid!

It's sad but what can you do? No one can change her mind for her. She has to figure it out on her own. At her age, she should know better. 😔 Someone I once considered a best friend at one point in my life chose to cheat on her child's father with a drug dealer, she started doing meth and lost her child. It's crazy and sad how something and/or someone can make you choose it and/or them over your own child(ren).

I don't think you're in the wrong. She choosing to live a dangerous lifestyle. I'd express that you will be there for her if she needs support to LEAVE HIM, but other than that, you can't condone her decision.
It is tough, I feel so bad for her kiddo.
