It seems my baby started teething. And every time I start breastfeeding her she starts crying like crazy and doesn't drink. She only takes pumped breastmilk out of the bottle 😕 anybody experienced that or similar ? Is it just too uncomfortable for her? ☹

@0711_sandra, I would start pace feeding and making bottles as much work as breastfeeding. It’s also a good way to make sure you don’t stretch her belly which is a risk when bottle feeding. Also, try breastfeeding before she gets hungry so she won’t get too frustrated. Express some by hand first and put it on your nipple so the milk will be right there and waiting for her. Around 3-4 months your supply is more demand driven than hormones so it becomes more work for them hence their frustration.

@laniejay no I'm not pace feeding. I started with bottles before breastfeeding due to inverted nipples which she couldn't latch on even with help of LC. After 1 month I tried It again with a nippleshield, which was successful. So most of the day I breastfeed her since shes 1 month. But now since about 3 days she always starts crying when she tries to latch on
She likes the flow of the bottle
Bottles are easier and less work. If you’re offering a bottle more than breast, they prefer the easy route. Are you pace feeding when you bottle?
