I wonder if my doctor will give me a note excusing me from coming into the office for the remainder…

They usually won’t write you out of work unless there’s a serious issue going on.

I got written out at 24 weeks, but I'm high risk and a teacher so standing for long periods was doing me more harm than justice but I say DONT DO IT! It's boring asf and irritating!!!

The absolute most my doctor will do is write a note stating basic pregnancy precautions and I work as a CNA. Unless something really bad is going on its against my practices rules to even put ladies on light duty. It sucks.

@ek620 I'm not trying to get out of work... just out of coming into the office. I work from home three days out of the week, anyway.

@korimommi I'm high-risk, also. I've always hated coming into the office but even more so now.

@wheelercharle4 Ouch... thankfully its not quite as strict around here. My superiors would be fine with it if I had doctor backing. I'm still working, after all.

My dr put me on disability for 4 weeks before my due date. There was no medical reason. He just said it was up to me and that in the state of California I could take 4 weeks max before baby arrives so I took it!

Just ask her/him. I asked mine and she didn’t have a problem with it. I was doing direct care and I was tired of being on my feet all day and my back hurting. And not to mention, when I get off I come home to 6 children all under the age of cooking and cleaning shit! Lol It was a lot. But yeah just ask.
